FAQs

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes. In order for me to secure the date for you a booking fee of £200 is required. All the information regarding the deposit will be sent out with the booking confirmation form. You then have a 14 day cooling-off period to cancel the booking for a full refund. If you choose to cancel outside of this 14-day cooling off period, the deposit is non-refundable.

I'd like to know more, can we meet before I book?

Absolutely, if you’d like to meet before making a decision I’m more than happy to sit down for a Zoom call. That way I’ll be able to answer any niggling questions you might have, that may not be covered on this page.

I'm getting married abroad, can you film my wedding?

Yes. If you’re getting married abroad, I’d love to film your wedding. If you’re happy to cover the cost of the flights and accommodation, my usual package fee would apply. If you’d rather let me sort out the logistics, these costs would need to be added in.

Can you livestream?

Yes. I have lots of kit at my disposal in order to livestream the wedding ceremony. As it is quite a lot of work logistically, there is an additional charge of £400 for a second videographer to assist. There may be some venues that don’t have adequate wifi – whilst we do have a back-up, we are able to do what’s known as a ‘same-day-edit’ a process whereby the ceremony is filmed, edited and uploaded online within a few hours on the day of the wedding.

Do you charge for travel?

Generally, no. I live in the West Midlands and so am able to travel to pretty much anywhere in the UK. I usually factor in expenses for fuel and accommodation (if required) into the package fee. If however the wedding is a significant distance from Shrewsbury (i.e. Northern Scotland, Northern Ireland) I may need to factor in an extra day of travel. I can discuss this with you in more detail.

Do I need to sign a contract?

Yes. As with any provision of service, I am required to issue a standard service agreement contract. This will outline what is being provided, the cost for such provisions and the terms for which both parties agree. I send the booking contract to you via a company called Signable. It’s really straightforward, you’ll receive an e-mail with a link, click the link – read and sign the contract, click submit and you’re done. I am trying to be as paper-free as possible and Signable is a great tool towards achieving that.

What happens if I need to postpone my wedding?

If you need to postpone your wedding, for whatever reason, my advice would be to let me know as soon as possible. If the wedding is due to go ahead at a later date, I will honour the agreement and move the booking to the new date without charge. If however the wedding is cancelled, providing the cancellation falls outside of the 14 day cooling off period (from the payment of the deposit), the deposit is non-refundable.

Do you accept credit cards?

I am able to take payments via PayPal. If this is something you’d prefer to do, please let me know ahead of time.

What happens if you're ill on my wedding day?

If in the very unfortunate event that I am unable to film your wedding due to sickness or family emergency, I will sub-contract the booking out to a professional videographer who I know, trust and have worked with previously.

Can I pay for my wedding film in Instalments?

If you’d find it easier to pay your wedding film off in ‘chunks’ that’s absolutely fine. All I would say is that as long as the remaining balance is paid 2 weeks prior to your wedding, I’m happy for you to split however you see fit. I do not accept payment after the wedding. All balances need to be clear before the big day.

Can I have 2 videographers?

Sure. If you’d like an additional videographer, this would be an additional £400 onto the package fee. This fee, in its entirety, is paid directly to the second videographer and is payable regardless of time requirements. For example, if you only required a second videographer for a shorter period of the day from bridal prep – speeches, £400 would still be required.

I need a female videographer to film with you, is that ok?

That’s absolutely fine. I am aware that in some cultures, it is more appropriate for a female videographer to be present at certain times of the day. I work with a strong, professional network of female wedding videographers who I can work with.

Are you insured, just in case anything goes wrong?

Yes. I have £1,000,000 worth of full public liability insurance with Policy Bee. If you, or your venue, requires evidence of this, please let me know and I’ll be more than happy to disclose.

Certain members of the wedding party can't be filmed, is that ok?

I understand that there are some members of the wedding party that can’t be filmed, and that’s totally ok. What I would say though is if you can give me as much notice as possible so that I’m fully aware prior to the day. No one wants a pixelated face on their wedding film.
